Emergency Preparedness

Three things for our fellow Highland 43rs:

In the event of an emergency, AFTER taking care of your family/situation, IF you desire, we would love for any number of volunteers to congregate at the ward chapel gym. These volunteers will be KEY for the execution of the ward emergency assessment plan.

If interested, see links below for some excellent resources, detailing many simple and practical preps to keep you and your family safe in these turbulent times:

Remember, NO level of physical preparations can replace the spiritual oil we NEED in our lamps, which ONLY comes from and through Christ (D&C 45:56-59). Our primary focus should be on following the doctrine of Christ by…

  • Repenting and coming unto him and entering into the new and everlasting covenant by offering a broken heart and contrite spirit – laying it all on the alter – and do whatever it is that the Lord commands us (3 Nephi 9:20, Alma 22:18)

  • Being born again and redeemed through reception of gift of the Holy Ghost by fire (2 Nephi 31:13)

  • Holding fast to the Iron rod by feasting on the words of Christ and enduring in faith (2 Nephi 32:3)

  • Arriving at the tree and partake of the fruit – tasting and knowing of the goodness of Jesus (Mormon 1:15)

  • Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you’d like to discuss ANY aspects of preparedness. We love to not only share our experiences and what we have learned, but also love learning from others.

God bless all you Highland 43ers in navigating these times!
